2010 IEEE EMBS INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL ON BIOMEDICAL IMAGING

The 9th Edition of this Summer School is aimed at offering to the best young researchers (PhD students, Post-doctorate, Engineers from industry, Physicians) involved in biomedical imaging an exceptional opportunity to meet, discuss and learn from leading lecturers in an informal atmosphere. This intensive working week takes place in one of the most beautiful place of France, the Berder Island in the Gulf of Morbihan, near the old city of Vannes and the famous Carnac alignment.
The 2010 Lectures will be given by Mathias FINK (France), Koji IKUTA (Japan), Dimitris METAXAS (USA), Jean-Christophe OLIVO MARIN (France), Jerry PRINCE (USA), Marco VICECONTI (Italy) on topics where a very active research is conducted. A Junior lecture will be delivered by a participant to the previous School, to be selected.
The number of attendees (traditionally coming from more than 25 countries all over the world) is strictly limited (45) and applications must be submitted as early as possible (the formal deadline being Mar. 1st, 2010). An international committee will select the candidates by March 15. Participants are encouraged to present their research work through Posters.
The registration fee is 1000 € (Euros). It includes accommodation, meals, coffee breaks, visits (dinner tour on the Gulf, Vannes and Carnac) and the School book published in the IEEE-EMBS Book Series. Financial supports are presently requested to the founding partners of the School (Companies, National Institutes) which will allow to offer reduced fees mainly for attendees coming from developing countries. A 100 € deposit is mandatory when submitting your candidature.
