About The IEEE/EMBS Summer Schools
The spirit of this Summer School is inspired by the most prestigious
school ever founded in France, Saint Flour, whose influence in Mathematics has
spread to generations of researchers. This school in Brittany is resolutely
international and accessible to young scientists. The first venue in 1994 was
attended by 45 participants from 16 countries. The Summer School brings
together the world's great teachers and researchers in Biomedical Imaging.
Lectures, seminars, and discussions are organized at the highest level, but
with freedom of spirit that is in the tradition of Brittany. The Summer School
is open to graduate students (M.S & Ph.D), post-doctoral scientists,
radiologists, biologists, engineers and researchers in industry. The objective
of the School is to provide the participants with up-to-date, state-of-the-art
knowledge on emerging areas.
