José VAQUERO LÓPEZ, born in Madrid, 1963. He got his Telecommunications Engineer degree at the Universidad
Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) in 1988. After working for two years in SIEMENS as Head
of Cardiology and Ultrasounds Group, he becomes a Research Fellow at UPM, Grupo de
Bioingeniería y Telemedicina (GBT), and he got his PhD degree in 1995 with a dissertation
on Magnetic Resonance Image reconstruction. He has been Visiting Research Fellow
at the National Institutes of Health (Bethesda, USA), and nowadays, apart from his
activity at GBT-UPM, he is electronics Assistant Professor at the Univesidad Alfonso
X El Sabio, and works as consultant with the local medical imaging industry.
